Unleash your creativity with our friendly and welcoming pottery classes in our accessible studio within The Chocolate Quarter, in Keynsham.
This course is suitable for those who have worked with clay a little before, or maybe done a beginners course, and would like to explore and develop their handbuilding skills in a supported space.
There isn’t a week by week structure to this course, but you will be supported to undertake projects of your own, using your preferred handbuilding techniques. That said, you don’t have to come with a plan - you’ll find plenty of ideas and inspiration in the studio! Weeks 1-5 will be for making your creations, and week 6 will be for glazing them.
Your finished pots will be ready for you to collect and keep, approximately 1-2 weeks after finishing the course.

The price includes all the materials that you will use on the course, as well as the two firings that your pieces will undergo in the kiln.
We have other courses available if you’d prefer to learn throwing on the potter’s wheel, or if you’re new to working with clay (or if you’d simply prefer a more structured course).
